Dec. 19, 2019 -- AMPERE Lab Received SCEEE Supplement Grant on Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU)

Dec. 19, 2019 -- AMPERE Lab received SCEEE Supplement Grant on Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU). The topic of this research grant will focus on the modeling and simulation of MVDC propulsion drive systems for future-generation hybrid-electric aircraft, which is an enabling technology to make air flight more efficient, quiter, and cleaner.

SCEEE, i.e., Southeastern Center for Electrical Engineering Education, is a nonprofit organization focusing on electrical engineering education in the United States.

Oct. 3, 2019 -- Dr. JiangBiao He Received the 2019 IEEE IAS AWS Outstanding Young Member Achievement Award

Dr. JiangBiao He received the prestigious 2019 IEEE Industry Application Society (IAS) Andrew W. Smith Outstanding Young Member Achievement Award at the 54th IAS Annual Meeting, which was recently co-hosted with the 2019 IEEE Energy Conversion Congress and Expo (ECCE-2019), in Baltimore, MD. This award recognizes outstanding contributions to the profession through involvement in IEEE IAS activities by a society member who is less than 35 years of age. Only one awardee is selected every year from the large international IEEE IAS community that has more than 14,000 members. More information about this recognition can be found on IEEE IAS website.
